As a starving Artist in NYC Terrence discovered some magnets at his day job at MoMA that sparked an idea for a link-less magnetic bracelet that would change his life.
After realizing a prototype he started selling it at the MoMA Design Store and later posted a video on YouTube of mesmerizing tricks he had mastered to show off the bracelet’s cool features. Within a month the video went viral and was the #1 video on YouTube, selling over $150K in orders.
Terrence left his day job behind and never stopped inventing cool new products. His next invention, the Mighty Wallet, put him on the Inc’s Fastest Growing Companies list for 3 years. It was an origami wallet made of Tyvek (think express mail envelopes) which were printed with bold and funny graphics.
At the heights of his success he built the “Artist Collective” for Mighty Wallet collaborating with over 500 artists to create cool and creative Mighty Wallet designs. But soon thereafter everything quickly unraveled in a series of events, both professional and personal, that left Terrence a single Dad of 2 kids and 1 million dollars in debt.
At the depths of these challenging times he started gathering inspirational quotes as a way to stay positive and active despite his circumstances. Those quotes evolved into an inspirational street art project called, the BE MIGHTY Project, where he posted inspirational quote flyers all over NYC for 5 years through the toughest of times.
The BE MIGHTY Project became a message of hope recognized and loved by many people in a city of dreamers. Today the flyers are available online for free at www.bemightyproject.com
Terrence is the founder of DegenDudes and owner of Dynomighty where he hopes to one day be on the Inc’s Fastest growing once again.
